Rushes Soho Shorts announces the full festival programme

Rushes Soho Shorts Festival, celebrating its 13th year, is proud to announce the Official Festival Programme for 2011. The non-profit event, which will take place from 20th to 29th July, is recognized as one of UK’s best Short Film Festivals, with an equal focus on emerging and established talent.

The festival will open with feature documentary POM Wonderful presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, directed by Morgan Spurlock. The documentary explores the potential for product placement in financing films, a source of funding that is increasingly applicable for short format work. The film will be one of three features presented during RSSF 2011, all of which relate directly to short format filmmakers. 148 new short films from 27 countries have been selected for this year’s eight competitive categories: Long Form, International, Newcomer, Short Film, Documentary, Animation, Music Video and Broadcast Design. The Official Competition Screenings will be held at The Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), with tickets now on sale. These will be joined by Fujifilm Shorts nominee’s with all winners being announced at the Awards Ceremony will be held on Thursday 28th July 2011.

The Festival Highlights:

• The Hospital Club Presentations, Deluxe Soho Seminars, Apple Store Panels:
