Riff Raff Films Signs Director Tanu Muiño

Riff Raff Films has announced its new arrival to the main director roster, Tanu Muiño.

Tanu was raised between Ukraine and Cuba but is currently working internationally on diverse projects across music videos and commercial campaigns. Having started her career in fashion, first as a stylist and then launching her own label, she picked up a camera to shoot her own stills, and swiftly moved onto directing in 2012, wishing her photos would move. Tanu’s breadth across the industry has helped her to craft a striking visual style inspired by experimental fashion, hyperreality, and the dark glamour of her favourite films; notably, ‘Cruel Intentions’ and Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Romeo+Juliet’.

Tanu has directed several high-profile videos and worked with talent like Cardi B, Katy Perry, Yungblud, Lizzo, to name a few. Her music video ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’, co-directed with Lil Nas X, has gained a huge cult following alongside critical acclaim with recognition such as a Grammy nomination for Best Music Video 2022 while also winning 2021 VMA’s Best Direction, Best Visual Effects and Video of the Year.

Riff Raff represents Tanu for the UK and Dutch markets.
