Partnership aimed at improving the health, wellbeing and participation of young people in sport

R/GA London is pleased to announce that it has launched an inspiring new digital content series for Nike and iCoachKids (iCK), a not-for-profit global movement led by Leeds Beckett University and the International Council for Coaching Excellence. As part of the collaboration, R/GA engaged in a full digital re-brand for iCK, while also creating a comprehensive body of bespoke coaching films, shot with real coaches and students designed to teach aspiring coaches the fundamentals of coaching kids. The content today launches both on iCK’s digital platforms and the Nike Training Club App.

To combat the issue of children falling out of sport across Europe, access to sport and facilities is key, but so are role models and sport leaders in communities. Without sufficient support, commitment and belief in children in sport, their prolonged future in sport remains under threat.

This initiative will help drive a shared commitment to improving the health, wellbeing and participation of young people in sport and physical activity, by improving the quality of coaching - ultimately helping to find and support the next generation of coaches for Kids. R/GA was engaged to bring this collaboration to life through an engaging and accessible digital platform that allowed both coaches and children to benefit from Nike and iCK partnership.

Nick Pringle, SVP executive creative director at R/GA London said: “We always strive to help create a more human future through our work, and this partnership is a great example of how to leverage best-in-class digital design to make a real social impact. Our shared hope with Nike is that this project goes at least some way in levelling the playing field for kids in all communities.”
