Reggie Yates Announced as Host for Inaugural Young Arrows Show

Inaugural awards ceremony takes place on October 26th at the BFI Southbank

The Young Arrows are thrilled to announce that Reggie Yates has been confirmed to host their inaugural awards ceremony to take place on October 26th at the BFI Southbank.

A natural host with a vast amount of experience Reggie has recently launched a youth initiative called Pass The Mic which aims to provide the education, network, and support needed to help underprivileged creatives and give them a pathway into the film and television industry. 

Reggie’s career has so far seen him move from fronting children's programming, to national radio, to hosting hit Saturday night show The Voice, to becoming an RTS award-winning documentary maker to making feature films and dramas.

As well as being behind feature films and TV content, Reggie’s agency / production company, the FIVE7, has secured commissions to produce content for brands including Lego, Blue Skies and YouTube.

Co-Chairs of the board of directors at The British Arrows, Clare Donald (chief production officer at Publicis Groupe UK) and Jani Guest (CEO at Creators Inc), have been working on developing the Young Arrows initiative since before the pandemic and are delighted to have Reggie as onboard as host. 

Clare Donald commented, “we are all so excited to have Reggie signed as host for our first Young Arrows awards show.  Not only is he a brilliant host but his work with his youth initiative Pass The Mic aligns with our focus on shining a light on emerging industry talent from all backgrounds.  We can’t wait for what will no doubt be a night full of both inspiration and celebration”.

Winners will be from all 15 categories will be celebrated at the event on where rising stars will have the opportunity to connect with top industry talent including, the British Arrows Board, Young Arrows jury headed up by co-chairs, Melody Sylvester head of film at Engine and Juliette Larthe EP and co-founding partner UK at Prettybird and the prestigious industry jury.

Open to people beginning their career in advertising, across 15 craft and agency categories with a specific award open to students, the Young Arrows has a lower entry fee and more flexible eligibility criteria for the chance to win a coveted Arrow award.
