The show, created in collaboration with creative agency TSLA, allows viewers to order the food used by chef Bjorn Shen

MasterChef, Chef’s Table, The Chef Show – we’ve all seen a million cooking shows that teach us how to make great food. But a cooking show that actually lets us eat the food? That’s something we've never seen. Well, until now.

To prove that their fresh produce make for quality ingredients, RedMart – the online supermarket arm of Lazada Singapore – partnered with creative agency TSLA to create the world’s first edible cooking show.

In the aptly-titled Eat This Show!, renowned Singaporean chef Bjorn Shen cooks his signature dishes on Facebook Live while his crew whips up 50 servings for 25 lucky viewers so that for the first time ever, viewers get to taste what they’re watching on screen. Viewers are also able to click through to the recipe page and order the ingredients using the Lazada app, to recreate the dishes at home.

You can check out the shows on Facebook Live right here.

“It was great fun putting together this cooking show with TSLA to bring our Shoppertainment ethos to life and encourage customers to ‘Watch, Play and Shop’ on RedMart,” said Michelle Yip, CMO of Lazada Singapore. “We hope they enjoy the recipes and ingredients we’ve assembled for the purposes of showcasing how easy it is to order groceries online with RedMart and whip up a delicious, home-cooked meal.”

You can check out a gallery of images from the show below:

“Creating a cooking show that takes the food from screen to mouths isn’t just something that’s never been done – it’s also a great way of showing the world that RedMart’s products are fresh and delicious. Because when it comes to food, seeing isn’t believing. Tasting is,” says Ariel Lee, Head of Mothering at TSLA.

So far, over 100,000 have tuned in live with hundreds of comments and shares asking to try the food. Too good to be true? It’s not too late to find out for yourself. Eat This Show! is airing two more episodes here this 23 and 25 October, 12 noon, Singapore time. We recommend you catch it, and hopefully, eat it!
