Tesco are launching their brand new Back to School campaign this Monday 13th August.
Focusing on the quality improvements that Tesco have made to their school uniform range, it shows a class of children putting the clothes through the rough and tumble of an assault course - with a twist. The kids tackle monkey bars, showing off shirts with stronger seams, and clamber through tunnels, testing the Teflon-treated trousers and skirts. As they go through the course, the traditional Tesco red price point Pings appear. However they appear not as static price messages but as moving obstacles the children need to negotiate, weaving a strong price message that serves to strengthen the quality messages.
An upbeat music track and a Summer feel also combine to give this an energetic feel. The ad was written by Marcus Smith and Tom Hopkins, and directed by Luke Snellin through 2AM. It is supported by press and digital activity.
