Sometimes it feels like cover versions have an undeserved bad rep when it comes to visual media. Sure, no one really needs to hear another moody cover of an old classic that reaches a skull crushingly epic finale over a trailer or a twee folk cover on an advert but there’s so much more to cover versions than that.

We’ve put together a collection of our favourite covers that show just how weird, wonderful, creative and fun they can be. We go from gritty, lo-fi versions of Madonna to Latin versions of Kraftwerk via country versions of Nirvana.
