We’ve been gorging on horror films at KO Music HQ for the last month, enjoying the thrills and the chills and admiring the vibrant creativity in these worlds of monsters, ghosts, vampires and scariest of all, humans. These strange and often terrifying worlds have long proved to be fertile grounds for composers and we’ve put together a selection of some of our favourite scores. From renowned composers like Ennio Morricone and Howard Shore, to the prog rock of Goblin and Tangerine Dream, to modern masters such as Mical Levi and Thom Yorke, this selection of cuts is as rich and varied as the films they scored. So turn out the lights, turn up the volume and take a trip over to the dark side.
