Radio LBB: And the Nominations Should Have Been…

With the entertainment industry’s biggest night just around the corner; this year’s Oscars mark the end of my second favourite time of year after Halloween: award season. And what an award season it’s been! For the first time in years, there isn’t a boringly predictable frontrunner. The likes of Anora, Conclave, The Brutalist and Wicked have been swapping places back and forth as the bookies favourite to take home the “Best Picture” little golden man. There have been controversies a plenty; from AI fixed accents, intimacy coordinator debates and resurfaced racist tweets to “holding space” for whatever was going on with Ariande Grande and Cynthia Erivo on their press tour. But in my humble opinion, the greatest controversy of all is Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross’ Challengers score snub. Inspired by seeking justice for what is the ACTUAL Best Original Score this year and seeking to correct the wrongs of the cowardly Academy, I present to you my alternative list of nominees.
