Just 6 weeks after inviting Canadians to stop “Dreaming Smaller” Questrade is back. The new campaign features Gabriel Macht, an actor famous for playing characters who know exactly what it takes to play the game, get theirs and get ahead. So who better to introduce a game changer like zero commission trades than him.
Those who watched the game this past Sunday will have seen two 30 second spots, the first spot, “Quotes” uses a famous gem from writer Jonathan Swift to open people’s eyes to what really matters when it comes to money. The second spot introduces the campaign hook “Zero is Hero.” Because according to Questrade and Macht, zero dollar commissions is what can lead to more zeros on your monthly statement.
“As a company built by Canadians, dedicated to helping Canadians put more money in their pockets, we’ve always done our best to be a disruptor in the financial space,” said Caleb Rubin, CMO, Questrade. He continued, “Now we’re changing the game again with zero commission trades. And we’re thrilled to have Gabriel help us tell the next chapter in our ‘Get Yours’ platform.”
Jamie Marcovitch, ECD at No Fixed Address added, “This was such an exciting, once in a lifetime moment for us. We had some big news to announce, we had Gabriel Macht, and we had a brand new campaign platform. All the right pieces were in place to make something special happen.”
And to add to the list of the “right pieces,” No Fixed Address and Questrade brought back HBO director Kevin Bray, who was behind the camera on their ‘Dream Smaller’ anthem to direct the ‘Hero is Zero’ campaign.
“I really respect what Questrade stands for as a brand, to me the partnership was the perfect fit.” said Gabriel Macht. He continues: “And when I heard I would be reuniting with Kevin Bray to bring it all to life, I knew we could create something powerful.”
The campaign will feature Gabriel Macht in TV as well as other bold media placements that invite Canadians to make more zeros and get theirs
