quench, a food and beverage marketing agency with a newly-opened office in Chicago’s West Loop, has hired Lorraine McGill to lead the growth of the firm’s midwest headquarters.
As group brand manager, McGill’s responsibilities at quench -- in addition to growing the Chicago office -- will include oversight on a variety of accounts, but will specifically include management of the agency’s work for Sun-Maid. She will also lead quench’s in-house shopper marketing practice.
“Lorraine knows how to build teams and lead accounts and she’s done it at some of the best agencies in the world,” said quench president & CEO Michael Pavone. “Both of those skills are going to make her a key piece of our strategy as we look to build our presence in the Windy City.”
quench currently has offices in Chicago, Philadelphia, and Harrisburg, Pa.
Prior to joining quench, McGill served as account director at Grey Advertising in New York where she oversaw work for Walgreen’s, and was responsible for opening that office as its first hire In Chicago. McGill’s 20-year advertising career also includes stops at the Chicago offices of Leo Burnett, DDB, and Ogilvy & Mather.
“I’ve worked in a lot of agencies, and quench represents everything you’d hope for. Fast, nimble, smart with unlimited potential and big agency clients like Sun-Maid, Starkist and Del Monte,” said McGill. “The chance to play a leading role in a food and beverage-focused agency like that was too good to pass up. It also allows me to get back to my Chicago roots, which is never a bad thing.”
quench is part of Pavone Marketing Group, which also includes Pavone (consumer and business-to- business marketing) and Varsity (senior and retirement living marketing).
