Pulse Films today announces that director Jeff Tremaine will be represented on its roster for commercial work globally. Tremaine is a directing force adorned with accolades for his incredible projects, across television, film, commercials and documentaries, including one of the founders for the cultural phenomenon that is ‘Jackass’.
Jeff Tremaine made his initial mark helming ‘Big Brother Skateboard Magazine’, where he — along with Spike Jonze and Johnny Knoxville - laid the foundations for Jackass. The success of the show spawned the well-known Jackass movie franchise, which, along with Bad Grandpa, grossed nearly half a billion dollars worldwide, helping pave the way for a generation of voices to create outside the norm.
Continuing to influence culture in television; Tremaine's credits include shows like Ridiculousness, Nitro Circus, Loiter Squad. Also passionate about documentaries, he produced Being Evel and the Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia and has directed two of ESPN's 30 for 30: The Birth of Big Air and Angry Sky. In 2021, Tremaine produced feature film Bad Trip, a narrative hidden camera comedy starring Eric Andre. The movie held the #1 spot on Netflix for three weeks.
As a commercial director, Tremaine has directed a wide range of action, comedy, celebrity, and experiential campaigns for brands like Budweiser, Allstate, Comcast, Burger King, and American Airlines. His Bud Light spot ‘Up For Whatever’ won multiple Gold Lions at Cannes, and his Allstate Social Savvy Burglar campaign and was named Most Next by the AICP.
Most recently, Tremaine went back to where it all began - directing and producing the latest instalment of his beloved franchise, jackass forever — a critically-acclaimed hit and Tremaine’s fifth #1 box office success.
Davud Karbassioun, Pulse Films comments: “Jeff’s credentials speak for themselves. His work has been at the heart of shaping this generations creative culture. His diverse output speaks to our tastes and interests. We’re proud to welcome him to the Pulse Films roster.”
Jeff Tremaine says: "I’m so excited to team up with a company like Pulse Films that shares my sensibilities and desire to make fun and high-quality work."
