In collaboration with top chefs, Dentsu Creative Amsterdam blends driving passion with Dutch gastronomy in a seasonal, route-based cookbook designed for Porsche owners.

Porsche Netherlands and Dentsu Creative Amsterdam are launching an exclusive cookbook, specially developed for Porsche owners. The book, ‘Vers van de Weg’ (Fresh from the Road), is more than just a collection of recipes; it’s a culinary journey that combines a passion for driving with a love for cooking and fine, local ingredients. Porsche drivers can explore the country through various routes, collecting fresh ingredients along the way, and then head home to cook up the recipes.

Michelin-Star Chefs

In collaboration with 8 (mostly Michelin-star) chefs, routes have been curated across regions throughout the Netherlands. Each chef selected two ingredients from their home region, which form the basis of the recipes featured in Vers van de Weg. From flavourful asparagus in the spring and sweet strawberries in the summer to hearty palm cabbage in the autumn and winter, the cookbook brings seasonal ingredients to the forefront. Anne Pellekoorn, manager of marketing and communication at Porsche NL, stated, “Anyone who owns a Porsche is passionate about going on adventures. With this campaign, we’re offering Porsche drivers the opportunity to drive unique routes and discover roads where they can collect the finest local ingredients for exceptional dishes. This way, driving pleasure leads to a remarkable culinary experience.”

Enjoying the Road and the Kitchen

The concept and campaign, developed by Dentsu Creative Amsterdam, brings together two passions of the Porsche audience: enjoyment on the road and in the kitchen. “When we think of special foods, we often look abroad, such as champaign from France or hams from Italy. But the Netherlands is also rich in beautiful ingredients, often sold literally next to the road. This cookbook encourages Porsche drivers to get in their car and pick these ingredients up themselves – it doesn’t get fresher than that,” said Luuk Simonse, senior creative at Dentsu Creative Amsterdam.

Made with Flavour

The book features contributions from various culinary experts. The content was developed in collaboration with Famke and Floor van Praag, a culinary writing duo and creators of the Shortlist Amsterdam cookbook series. They worked with the chefs to create the recipes and ingredient descriptions. Additionally, information about the regions and routes is included, and the book celebrates the Dutch countryside with stunning photography of ingredients, recipes, and landscapes. Supplemented with images of Porsches in every colour and mouth-watering graphic design, the book is not only a great tool for cooking but also an ultimate collector's item for enthusiasts.

Dutch Porsche owners can gain access to the routes by entering their Porsche registration number on the campaign page: https://versvandeweg.porsche.nl/
