This morning,
Pokemon GO announced '
Go Beyond', the mobile game's largest update that includes a rebalanced levelling system from one to 40, a level cap increase to 50, Generation VI Pokémon and brand new seasonal content.
Niantic partnered with San Francisco-based advertising agency MUH-TAY-ZIK / HOF-FER, part of the VCCP group, to create the 'GO Beyond' campaign. The agency was responsible for creating a campaign through a phased approach that would intrigue, attract and inform both new and experienced players about Pokémon GO’s latest offerings. The phased campaign includes the rollout of an assortment of creative assets, including teasers, a trailer video, social media posts, an informative trainer guide and more.
The update follows the spot 'Look Closer' - from The Pokémon Company International, Niantic Labs, MUH-TAY-ZIK / HOF-FER and esteemed director Rian Johnson - which welcomed users to embark on an exciting adventure in a heightened reality and discover a world of adventures that can occur at any time and any place with the mobile app. 'Look Closer' also promoted the virtual Pokémon GO Fest which also occurred in July 2020.
Adam Ledbury, creative director, MUH-TAY-ZIK / HOF-FER, commented: “Boasting a whole new raft of Pokémon, goal-oriented level increases, and the launch of Seasons, 'GO Beyond' is the most significant update for Pokémon GO yet. To share these exciting developments with both current and former players, we set out to intrigue and excite the Pokémon GO community via paid and organic social, and introduced the trainers guide, putting everything trainers love about the game right into the palm of their hands."
The creative assets began going live yesterday and will continue to roll out until the features are officially released in the game, beginning on 30th November through 2nd December.
