PMG, a global independent marketing services and technology company, is bolstering its executive team by bringing on industry veteran Andrea Terrassa as its first chief operating officer (COO). In this role, Andrea will drive operational excellence and sustainable efficiencies across the global organisation as it delivers on its strategic growth objectives.
With more than 20 years of experience in corporate transformation within marketing technology and professional services, Andrea has delivered impactful results on a global scale. She joins PMG following a seven-year career at dentsu, where she served most recently as COO for dentsu Americas during a period marked by transformational organisational change.
Based in New York, Andrea reports to PMG CEO and founder George Popstefanov and serves as a key partner to the executive team.
“PMG’s ability to achieve consistent double-digit growth while preserving its people-centric, entrepreneurial culture and fiercely independent spirit is rare in our industry and central to its success,” said Andrea. “This strong foundation and adaptability will drive us forward as we build an integrated, global operating model to meet our 2025 ambitions and beyond. I’m eager to jump in and connect with our teams, partners, and customers in the weeks ahead to explore how we can drive even greater impact together.”
As global COO of Dentsu Creative, Andrea established and launched the business in 2022, consolidating over 100 agency brands across 35 markets into a unified, high-performing global organisation and go-to-market brand. Previously, she held COO roles at 360i and WPP’s Red Fuse Communications, following a career ascent through various account management and leadership roles at Y&R.
For PMG, the appointment underscores its commitment to investing in the right talent and technology to shape its future and advance its vision of becoming “the most respected global independent digital company powered by technology and amazing people.”
George reflected, “As we mark our 15-year anniversary, Andrea’s expertise in managing complex operational dynamics to support innovation, driving operational excellence, and leading integrations make her a perfect fit for this moment in our evolution. Her innovative, people-centric approach and passion for inclusivity align with our values. I’m confident she’ll help PMG scale thoughtfully, operate with agility, and deliver on our global ambitions—all while keeping people and values at the heart of everything we do.”
A proud Latina and advocate for diversity and gender equality, Andrea has mentored peers through McKinsey’s Hispanic & Latino Excellence and Black Executive Leadership programs. She is a founding member of the Women’s Purpose Community to promote workplace inclusivity and serves on the leadership committee of 50/50 Women on Boards.
Today’s news comes on the heels of another steady year of strong growth for PMG, during which it opened a new Dallas headquarters, expanded into EMEA, and added 300 employees to its global headcount. The company also secured new enterprise customers, including Hearst Corporation, Northwestern Mutual, Orvis, and Petco, among others. PMG now ranks as the fourth-largest independent agency worldwide and second-largest in the US, according to Forrester. In January, it was named to the Ad Age Best Places to Work for a record 10th consecutive year and Fast Company’s Best Workplace for Innovators for the second time.
