It's that time of the week again! Team P&S have knocked their heads together and come up with five brand new, bangin' tracks for your listening pleasure. Get stuck in!
Waiting for The Light to Change by Luke Lalonde
Frontman to Canadian rock outfit Born Ruffians, Luke Lalonde has released his second solo record, The Perpetual Optimist. P&S favourite and album closer ‘Winners & Losers’ ties off the upbeat folk-rock record with sliding guitars, soft quivering synths and Lukes stripped back, wailing vocals.
Reach Out More by Amason
Swedish supergroup Amason (with members famous for penning songs for the likes of Britney Spears and Madonna) have released ‘Reach Out More’, the first taste of Galaxy II, the follow up to their album released earlier this year, Galaxy I.
Points Beyond by Cubicolor
Sizzling synths and heavily vocoded vocals, Cubicolor are back with their latest single ‘Points Beyond’. Further refining their sound and clearing the way for their next big release, the Dutch/English trio have broken their year of hiatus and relieved worried fans after the band scrapped a finished album earlier this year in fear that it wasn’t quite right.
It Just Doesn’t Happen by Destroyer
French-Canadian indie multi-instrumentalist, Destroyer has dropped his second single ‘It Just Doesn’t Happen’ in the lead up to his highly anticipated record, Have We Met (due out Jan 31st). It’s safe to say we’re quite excited for the full release to drop!
So Heavy I Fell Through The Earth by Grimes
Canadian experimental, art-pop producer Grimes has released two mixes of her latest track, ‘So Heavy I Fell Through The Earth’, a sinister synthetic and brooding track seemingly about her being so heavily weighed down by love that she could fall through the planet. The track teases her impending climate change themed Miss Anthropocene project set for release Feb 21st next year.
