Story follows a student of UNISA, Africa’s largest distance learning institution
UNISA, Africa’s largest distance learning institution, has released a new television commercial to kick-start its “Define Tomorrow” campaign. The new spot focuses on the tenacity of a South African Student.
Created by Net#work BBDO, the film follows the story of a UNISA student who, through a correspondence course, undertakes the journey towards his degree whilst working his job as a taxi driver. He shares this taxi business with his father, and they alternate shifts. We see his struggle as he works through the night, picking up an array of passengers, while studying during the day and every other opportunity he gets. In the end, his family gives him the extra push he needs to provide a better future for himself and his family, and ultimately define his tomorrow.
The :60 TV spot launched on July 7th. An extended video spot was also created for digital use.
