Oracle Releases a Tapestry of Cultural Critic

Oracle Sisters released the music video by British director Jim Longden for Blue Left Hand third single from their forthcoming album Divinations. Inspired by the book Caliban and the Witch, the track weaves together a lyrical tapestry of history, philosophy and cultural critique. 

After their collaboration on Alouette, shortlisted at UKMVA24, Jim and the band created a playful and wacky concept. Zany characters include a Priest handing with a gun, a business running Drag Queen and the cutest ballet dancers. 

“We had a Priest with a gun fetish, a Nun who showers using money, a Drag Queen who spends the daytime running a formal business, two innocent ballet dancers, one of the set design team playing a Jester, while a disco dancer has an identity crisis of whether he is in the band or not. So, all in all, it was a fascinating day on the set of Blue Left Hand.” - director, Jim Longden.
