Online Marketplace Temu Gets You Shopping like a Billionaire in Its First Super Bowl Spot

On Super Bowl Sunday, Boston-based E-commerce company Temu debuted its first-ever Big Game ad, 'Shop Like a Billionaire', during the first and third quarter. The spot was created by Saatchi & Saatchi and features an original track from Squeak E. Clean Studios.

Temu operates an affordable online marketplace that connects consumers with millions of sellers, manufacturers, and brands around the world with the mission to empower them to live their best lives. Temu is committed to offering the most affordable quality products to enable consumers and sellers to fulfill their dreams in an inclusive environment.

"It’s our first time, and we are thrilled to be part of the 2023 Big Game lineup to share Temu's mission of quality at affordable prices," a spokesperson from Temu said. "Through the largest stage possible, we want to share with our consumers that they can shop with a sense of freedom because of the price we offer. ‘Shop Like a Billionaire’ is no longer a dream because of Temu.”

Temu’s 30-second ad features a protagonist’s adventure as she experiences the joys of shopping on the Temu app. Her face lights up as she realizes the purchase possibilities are endless at such good prices. From the latest fashion to tools, headphones and so much more, there is something for everyone on Temu. “I feel so rich,” the upbeat jingle plays, “I feel like a billionaire.”

The spot, directed by Robert Jitzmark, premiered in the first quarter, followed by a third quarter appearance and two post-game airings. Additional media placements, including the NASCAR Daytona 500, are planned.
