Ollie Wolf has created another stunning film for British sensation Tom Walker’s latest single 'Just You And I' following on from their initial collaboration on 'Heartland' back in 2017.
Walker signed to Relentless Records, has had an incredible 12 months; after seeing his single ‘Leave a Light On’ become an international hit in 2018, the UK’s biggest breakout star has started 2019 with a bang having been nominated for two Brit Awards: Best Newcomer and Best Single! His new single‚ ’Just You And I’ impacts February 22nd on Relentless/Sony Music.
Wolf & his Oscar winning cinematographer Paleodimos, shot this video over two days on location in Southend, with Aggy and Kenny our lead protagonists giving such powerful performances you want to be teleported into their romantic little world: it’s the love story you never knew you needed.
As Wolf states: “Someone told me once that the one night stand was the easy bit and it was the awkward breakfast afterwards that they couldn’t handle. I think that must have been in the back of my mind when I wrote this treatment for Tom Walker. ‘Just You And I’ is such a sweet record but it needed something of a twist to offset it. So, exploring a story about a couple who wake up handcuffed together unable to remember anything about the night before felt like the perfect premise for a playful film. Luckily Tom Walker agreed."
Ollie has also recently been commissioned by The Barbican and the British Council to create a short film for their 2019 programme entitled ‘Life Rewired’. Ollie’s film entitled “The Last Forever Woman” will be one of 12 that will be released each month during 2019 and focuses on the theme of age populations.
2019 is looking pretty exciting for both director and artist alike.
