Local creative talents to showcase their work to industry leaders at ADC Portfolio Night 13

Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific (Ogilvy) will be the proud host of this year’s prestigious ADC Portfolio Night 13 in Greater China, with Bates CHI&Partners (Bates) staging the event in Singapore – all on the same day – Wednesday 20 May.

Widely recognised as an advertising event like no other, it brings together the best of the present and the future in creative communications in industry hubs across the world.

In its 13th year, ADC Portfolio Night is a high-energy evening of advice, networking and recruitment, where aspiring, young, local advertising copywriters, art directors and designers get the opportunity to meet with renowned advertising creative directors.

Ogilvy has the honour of organising and curating this year’s event in Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai, while the evening in Singapore will be hosted by Bates. ADC Portfolio Night 13 across the region will be supported and covered exclusively by our media partner, Campaign Asia Pacific.

At each event, local creatives will get an opportunity to present their advertising portfolio to leading creative directors from the industry and receive constructive feedback on their work. The candidate with the very best work in each city will be named a Portfolio Night All-Star and invited to travel to New York City to collaborate with other All-Stars from around the world on a global brand brief.  Details on tickets for ADC Portfolio Night 13 will be announced in early April.

For Ogilvy China, this will be the sixth time in seven years as the host agency in China.

Commenting on this year’s Portfolio Night, Graham Fink, chief creative officer, Ogilvy & Mather China, said: “For Ogilvy China, we are delighted to be hosts once again. As an agency, we are committed to playing a leading role in helping to mentor and inspire the next generation of talent entering our industry. It’s important to remember that China is still a relatively young market, so it’s encouraging to see the standard of portfolios get better each year. I’m very excited to see what’s in store for 2015.”

For Hong Kong, this is the fourth time the city has hosted Portfolio Night, but for the first time in five years. Reed Collins, chief creative officer, Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong, hopes that Portfolio Night can be a launch pad for young creatives in Hong Kong looking to start their career.

“It is exciting to have Portfolio Night back in Hong Kong and for Ogilvy to be playing host. This event gives a unique opportunity for young creatives to showcase their work, receive practical advice about their portfolio and to make new contacts as they look to start their career,” he said.

After the success of last year’s sold out event, this will be the second time Bates has hosted Portfolio Night in Singapore. Sagar Mahabaleshwarkar, executive creative director, Bates CHI&Partners Singapore, added: “Portfolio Night has helped many young creatives land their first role in advertising. It promises to be a very exciting event and I know the creative directors due to attend are looking forward to meeting the new wave of advertising talent, reviewing their pieces and discussing their concepts.”
