The BBC’s marketing campaign for BBC Music’s ‘The Biggest Weekend’ went live over the weekend with a host of world famous musicians giving audiences a unique insight into their preparations for the big event.
The campaign consists of a series of intimate behind the scenes films with Sam Smith, Sigrid, J Hus, Noel Gallagher, Franz Ferdinand, Neneh Cherry, Danielle Di Neisse, and Evelyn Glennie as they prepared for The Biggest Weekend.
The campaign was created by the BBC’s in-house creative agency BBC Creative for BBC Music. The filming and editing was carried out by Pulse Films and the campaign ran across the BBC’s TV, radio and online outlets at present.
As well as the campaign trails already released, a mini documentary is being created with further exclusive unseen footage – this will be released after The Biggest Weekend.
Jamie Starbuck, Creative Head from BBC Creative said: "At BBC creative we are committed to making work that really matters to people. Luckily for us the BBC’s credentials meant we got incredible access to the artists, giving fans a unique and exclusive insight into their world."
BBC Music’s The Biggest Weekend is taking place on 25-28 May over four sites in four nations across four days and will be the BBC’s biggest ever celebration of music across TV, radio, online and mobile.
