No.8 Welcomes Simon Downie, Lily Delphine and Harvey David

No.8 continues to go from strength to strength with the addition of two new VFX producers and a VFX artist. 

Simon Downie joins from Untold Studios as senior VFX producer having spent over a decade in the industry working across various aspects of visual effects, branding, design, and A.I. integration in the creative process.   

Throughout his career, Simon has been involved in projects for globally recognised brands such as Virgin, PlayStation, Disney, Sky, Lotus, Marvel and Bvlgari, with directors including Paolo Sorrentino, James Gunn, & Tom Kuntz. 

Simon said, “I am thrilled to be joining the team at No.8. Their continued growth is a testament to their talent and the quality and creativity of work that they put out. I am excited to be able to play a part and work alongside such a welcoming team.” 

Lily Delphine joins as VFX producer bringing with her a wealth of experience from her time at JAM VFX.  

There, she produced a wide range of projects across various formats, including commercials for global brands such as Jaguar and Charlotte Tilbury, as well as being the VFX line producer on Channel 4’s Big Mood and We Are Lady Parts 2.  

With a passion for cultivating strong relationships, Lily is eager to contribute her expertise to help with the continued growth and success of No.8.

Lily said, "I couldn't be more excited to join No.8. Seeing them excel in audio, colour, and VFX has been super inspiring. They’re working with amazing clients and producing incredible work. I can’t wait to get stuck in and collaborate with such a talented team as we head into this exciting new time together.”

They both bring lot of experience, energy, positivity and knowledge and i am 100% confident they are going to help No.8 continue to grow and be a joy to work with." 

Harvey David joins as VFX Artist, a creative-focused experienced compositor who is deeply passionate about visual storytelling and collaboration. 

Harvey has worked across both film & TV as well as advertising for clients including: Netflix, HBO, Sky, BBC, Apple, Warner Brothers & Unilever. 

Harvey said; “I’m feeling so incredibly grateful to have been invited to join the No.8 family - and of course to be back in Soho. Judging by the warm welcome I’ve received here, the recent hires and the quality of work coming out of No.8 right now - it feels like the magic is set to continue. It’s an exciting opportunity to join and grow within a talented and expanding team and I hope my experiences and ideas can help build something even more special here.” 

Jim said; “Harvey has an excellent eye, strong technical skills and really loves VFX. He is a fantastic addition to the team as we continue to grow. In the short time Harvey has been with us, he has already shown what a lovely guy he is to work with. I'm really looking forward to working with him on some exciting new projects at No.8.”
