R/GA is pleased to announce that one of its most senior creatives, Nick Pringle, has moved from R/GA New York to become the London office’s new SVP executive creative director. Nick will be responsible for curating and leading the creative vision for R/GA London, and driving the transformational work for which the agency is known.
A multiple Cannes Lions award-winning creative, Nick spent the last three years as R/GA New York’s VP, ECD leading work on some of the agency’s biggest clients including Samsung, Amex, and Shopify. Over the years he’s won 16 Lions, eight OneShow pencils, and seven D&AD pencils for work including Samsung’s Fornite Galaxy Skin, Volvo’s Highway Robbery, McDonald’s AR app: TrackmyMaccas and Volkswagen’s Nightmare Parks campaign.
As part of this global creative reshuffle, R/GA is excited to share that Andre Le Masurier, chief creative officer R/GA EMEA, will be heading back to Los Angeles to be closer to friends and family, where he’ll be overseeing key accounts and driving continued growth for R/GA on the West Coast as executive creative director. During his tenure in the London office, he helped the agency win key new clients, oversaw award winning work, while the agency was also named Tech Agency of the Year and Digital Innovation Agency of the Decade by Campaign.
“We’re thrilled to have been able to keep both of these talented creatives in the R/GA family in ways that work equally well for our business goals, and their personal ones,’ said Sean Lyons, R/GA ‘s global CEO. ‘It’s a rare instance of perfect timing. Nick is one of our most beloved creative leaders, and will do an extraordinary job back on his home turf, working with Becs to lead R/GA London into its next iteration (although I’ll miss seeing him in New York every day). And Dre’s creative firepower will be an amazing addition to our US leadership team as he also heads back closer to home”.
In this newly formed role, Nick Pringle will report directly to Rebecca Bezzina, SVP managing director of R/GA London. “I’m delighted to have Nick join as my creative partner. He’s an exceptional talent and a good human, and embodies R/GA’s spirit of bringing diverse groups of talent together,’ said Rebecca Bezzina, SVP managing director, R/GA London. ‘In a time of change for our own industry and our clients’ businesses, Nick’s proven ability to adapt, lead and harness change for good makes him a perfect fit for our next iteration.’
Alongside Rebecca and executive strategy director Rob Campbell, Nick will join a new look London leadership team that will focus on growth and continuing to deliver best-in-class work. As a result of this strategic restructuring of R/GA’s operational model in Europe, the EMEA CCO role will no longer exist, as the London office moves away from a regional leadership approach.
“It’s great to be back in the UK and kicking off a new chapter for myself and R/GA London. We have thinkers here that you just don’t find in other agencies, and importantly, they have an equal voice. Over the years, that’s what’s made R/GA stand out—our solves aren’t the same as everyone else’s, because we aren’t the same as everyone else,” said Nick. “My focus will be on creating new and meaningful experiences for clients by obsessing about design, technology and culture. I’m also excited to help R/GA rewrite the agency model playbook once more, as we move into a world where we’ll never be so office dependent again.”
Prior to joining R/GA, Nick worked at Grey New York as group creative director, where he led award winning work for clients including Volvo, P&G and Ally Bank. Nick also has additional global experience, as creative director at DDB in Sydney.
