Newcastle United Honours Legacy and Community in Home Kit Film

Narrated by former striker Alan Shearer the Dan Emmerson directed video features the likes of head coach Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall, while first-team stars Bruno Guimaraes, Joelinton, Dan Burn, Anthony Gordon and Jacob Murphy all feature along with Newcastle Women’s players Georgia Gibson, Amber-Keegan Stobbs and Katie Barker. Emmerson also recreates that viral photo of Alexander Isak walking his Doberman in full Newcastle gear.

​With Alan narrating a stirring message about what supporting United means, along with a haunting rendition of the Blaydon Races accompanied visually by a montage of archive Newcastle goals and moments in previous adidas kits, Emmerson’s video is a powerful ode to the community strength and spirit at the heart of the history of the team.

Alongside the film, Dan enlisted iconic Geordie photographer Ewen Spencer to capture stills of the team and fans wearing the new shirt.

The new shirt nods to the 2002/03 era with three bold black stripes and a full-colour crest, and that’s joined by Three-Stripes detailing on the shoulders up to the collar. In further celebration of the club's history, the classic club crest reappears as a back neck sign-off.

‘It’s Black and White’ is a film that would not only resonate with Geordies but with football fans in general, with a 'real love and passion for people of the North East' running through it.
