Independent creative agency, Neverland, announces the growth of its leadership team with two promotions. Former head of production, Amy Coomber is being promoted to the newly created role of chief creative production officer and Alex Cowley is stepping into the role of head of production from executive producer.
The new role will see Amt working across, and bringing together, Neverland’s creative, design and production departments, as well as helping to drive creative craft across the agency’s Imagine Neverland franchise operation. She will also be launching an initiative within the agency to review the impact of creative production on mental health.
Since joining Neverland shortly after it opened its doors in 2019, Amy has created one of the most awarded production teams in British Advertising. As well as helping to bring home a huge number of craft awards for Neverland’s work, Amy was announced as Campaign’s Agency Producer of the Year in 2021. Her team were then awarded the title of Campaign’s Agency Production Team of the Year in 2022.
As part of her work to make Neverland – and the industry – more diverse and easier to access for young talent, Amy has built close partnerships with The London Screen Academy and The Young Arrows. Alex Cowley will be taking on Amy’s relationships with these organisations, as well as looking at new ways for Neverland to support young and diverse talent aiming to venture into the creative industries. Alex will also be focusing on mentoring the agency’s production team and ensuring the wider agency is updated on emerging production technology and trends.
Alex joined Neverland in 2021 and has led the production of major campaigns at Neverland including multiple integrated campaigns for Age UK, the agency’s first pan-European work for Innocent and led production on Cannes Lions and D&AD Pencil winning Ladbrokes Rocky.
Jon Forsyth, co-founder and CCO of Neverland said, “We have always held the quality of our work above all else and there is simply no one better than Amy to deliver it. As a key member of Josh's new management team, Amy will continue to set high bars, leading Neverland's production and creative capabilities, whilst bringing in the brilliant Alex to take her place. Alex is one of those rare professionals that can command leadership and deliver quality, with a calm style that everyone is drawn to. We are incredibly lucky to have this talent.”
Amy Coomber, chief creative production officer at Neverland, “I’m grateful to have been part of this journey from the start, working with a team that pushes the limits of creativity and craft.
