Rebellious new spot is latest work from DOGEATDOG, Sibling Rivalry and director Kevin Castanheira

Marshall has recruited legendary rockstar Billie Joe Armstrong as their latest campaign ambassador, showcasing the Monitor III A.N.C. and Major V headphones. As Green Day’s iconic frontman, Armstrong’s rock ‘n’ roll attitude and rebellious spirit perfectly embodies Marshall’s commitment to rebelling from the status quo.

Directed by Kevin Castanheira, who continually pushes boundaries with Marshall’s creative team to deliver uniquely creative concepts, this campaign is packed with Easter eggs for Green Day fans to discover. From the Dookie plane to Armstrong’s childhood guitar displayed in the Marshall shop window, Castanheira has crafted a film packed with a multitude of nostalgic references, offering new details to spot with each watch.

Produced by creative studio DOGEATDOG, with support from brand studio and production company Sibling Rivalry, Castanheira utilises 35mm, high-speed photosonics and intricate post-production techniques to capture the raw and gritty aesthetic synonymous with Marshall’s brand. Having worked together for nearly a decade, DOGEATDOG and Castanheira continually spotlight Marshall as cultural connoisseurs, amplifying the voices and communities that keep the world from going silent.

This campaign invites audiences to boldly immerse themselves in a world where music, legacy and chaos collide.

Kevin Castanheira comments, “It’s been a really rewarding experience working with Billie Joe and Marshall on this project. Marshall has been behind Billie Joe since the start, so it’s pretty cool to be a part of their shared history. Our sequences have a tonne of Green Day and Marshall Easter eggs throughout - so see if you can spot them! It was also super fun to work with all the practical effects in camera on highspeed film photography.”
