MRM, a McCann Worldgroup agency, has appointed Brad Borman to the role of SVP, commerce growth in a move to further the network’s global commitment to creativity and commerce expertise as a key growth driver for clients. To help clients identify and capitalise upon growth opportunities, Brad’s role will focus on accelerating connectivity between the various layers of MRM’s end-to-end commerce expertise, industry technology partners, client teams, and other IPG agencies. His advisory to internal and external client teams will span various sectors in both B2C, B2B, and marketplace channels – and ultimately leverage commerce as part of MRM’s overall mission to help build enduring brand relationships.
Returning to MRM, Brad was most recently head of growth at Shift7, a Merkle Company. Prior to this role, he drove growth as MRM Commerce head of business development and alliances. He will report into MRM’s global chief commerce officer Ed Kim, who was appointed to the newly created role in October 2023. This key talent addition underscores MRM’s recent strategic shift to intensify focus on its global industry-leading commerce solutions, in alignment with McCann Worldgroup and IPG.
As a differentiator from other offerings in the marketplace, MRM’s connected commerce offering strategically positions itself as an advisory and operating partner to client business – backed by a track record of driving sales and revenue growth that is supercharged by creativity. This service breadth spans from the most complex commerce consulting services to ensure back offices and innovative creative customer experiences are optimised for digital commerce, to working with clients at the beginning of their ecommerce journey, to building award-winning creative commerce campaigns, and everything in between.
Over the past three years, MRM has increased its commerce practice by more than 30 percent, pitched and won new clients including Autodesk, Four Seasons Yachts, and CarBravo – and driven accelerated organic growth on AstraZeneca and Roche.
“Our network is at an exciting and pivotal moment when it comes to our ambitions to deliver creatively driven commerce solutions. We truly view ourselves as stewards of our clients’ business, and Brad is well equipped to navigate the complexities required to look beneath the surface and identify opportunities where elevated commerce solutions can accelerate growth – regardless of the industry or maturation stage of the partners we work with,” says Ed Kim, MRM global chief commerce officer.
"I couldn't be more excited to re-join MRM after 4.5 years away. The progress that has been made in the name of experiential commerce is incredible. There are commerce experiences that exist in every industry/vertical and I can't wait to combine my 20 years of commerce consulting with the powerful set of services at MRM to help companies grow," says Brad.
