Jon Taylor joins as global chief data officer, Joi Patrick is global chief talent officer and Alfonso Marian is new chief creative officer for MRM New York

MRM has announced key executive leadership updates as it continues to strengthen its team and offering under new global CEO, Grant Theron. 

Jon Taylor has been appointed as MRM’s first global chief data officer. As MRM’s capabilities are always underpinned with data at their core, it’s critically important to have an expert leader in all things data to steward clients and teams, and Jon is just that. Jon is an award-winning practitioner of data-driven marketing with over 20 years of industry experience. Throughout his career, Jon has helped global networks create new audience data products and build teams of data strategists and consultants serving some of the world’s most valuable brands. Previous roles include MW’s EVP, Global Data & Audience and EVP, Audience & Identity at IPG’s Kinesso.

Joi Patrick has been elevated to global chief talent officer, succeeding Linda Sorbera, who has retired after many years of dedicated service. A talented and experienced leader, Joi has served as the head of HR for MRM Detroit for the last eight years and, prior to that, was the HR director at Digitas. In her time at MRM Joi has worked across MW Detroit, building an HR team to support all three brands while leading the largest of the three, MRM Detroit. Additionally, she has led important diversity initiatives throughout her career.

Alfonso Marian has been named new chief creative officer for MRM New York. Alfonso comes to MRM from IPG Mediabrands, where he has been the global CEO and CCO for Mediabrands Content Studio (MBCS) since 2022, overseeing all branded, performance, and partnership content offerings. A significant part of his leadership strategy at MBCS involved leveraging dynamic creative to open doors for data-driven content advantages that help brands win. Alfonso’s background in audience-driven creativity and content innovation will make him a great asset to MRM. He has received over 70 international awards, including Cannes Lions, Echo Awards, John Caples, One Show and D&AD and in 2008 was named Best Direct Marketing Creative Director by the Won Report.
