Monzo, the UK’s largest digital bank, announces the launch of its ATMmm - an exclusive hot coral pop-up ATM that will dispense Greggs Sausage Rolls and Vegan Sausage Rolls.
The one-of-a-kind ATM - painted in Monzo’s distinctive hot coral - appeared on Grainger Street, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, the hometown of Greggs. Every 100th customer to use the ATM received a special treat - a £50 Greggs High Roller gift card, courtesy of Monzo and Greggs.
The activation comes as Monzo’s data reveals that 2.3 million customers together spent over £70m on Greggs in 2023. Since launching the newly extended subscription plans, over 80,000 Monzo customers have received a free Sausage Roll treat!
As part of its brand campaign, Money never felt like Monzo, the activation sees two bespoke ATMs placed side-by-side. One is a regular ATM, with an ‘out of order’ message on-screen. On the right will be a hot coral ‘ATMmm’, which will give users the option to select either a Sausage Roll or Vegan Sausage Roll to be dispensed, for free.
For those unable to make it to the Newcastle event, there’s no need to worry as Monzo customers nationwide can still enjoy a free weekly Greggs treat by signing up for Monzo Perks or Max; which offer benefits like a top Instant Access Savings product (4.6% AER), an Annual Railcard and the best of Monzo’s money management tools. Monzo Max also includes comprehensive worldwide travel and phone insurance and Personal UK & Europe breakdown cover - provided by RAC.

The activation was created with London creative studio - Uncommon - who recently launched Monzo’s first above-the-line advertising campaign in over five years ‘Money Never Felt Like Monzo.’
