Mobsta announces the creation of a new c-suite to drive its next phase of growth.
As part of this move, David Graham has been promoted to the newly created role of chief operating officer. He joins Matt Longley, now stepping into the role of chief executive officer, Allison Gislason as chief financial officer, and Mike Buckley as chief commercial officer. The appointments follow a milestone year for the B Corp-certified business, founded 14 years ago by John Scorah and Darren Kietz.
“The creation of this executive team recognises the huge contribution made by Matt, Allison, Mike, and David over recent years – including 2024 which was an outstanding year – and it celebrates the vision they have laid out for Mobsta for the next five,” said John.
“Under Matt’s outstanding stewardship, we are now seeing the fruits of delivering a successful business model that works for our customers, as well as our employees, community, and the planet. Their leadership gives us great confidence that the growth and ambition we envisage can and will continue to be delivered.”
David Graham, chief operating officer
David – the exec’s longest-serving member – joined Mobsta as an account manager, working across sales and customer success before overseeing the company’s overall Customer Success function. Prior to Mobsta, he worked in commercial trading at Miroma after relocating to London from New Zealand in 2014.
“Even after eight years, I’ve never been prouder to be part of such a wonderful team and exciting business,” said David. “We’ve had a fantastic year, full of accolades – winning Campaign’s Best Places to Work and, most recently, IPA’s Best Media Owner to work with – so it feels more important than ever that we continue to uphold our high standards in service, results, and pioneering product offerings for our customers. In this new role, I’m committed to supporting the team in delivering to that standard.”
Allison Gislason, chief financial officer
Allison joined Mobsta three years ago as finance director, bringing more than a decade of experience in building finance teams and implementing systems across sectors. She also serves as a trustee for a re-use charity in West London.
“When I joined Matt and the team back in 2022, the idea of ‘good growth’ was truly a seed,” she said. “We soon learned that there are clients, partners, and staff out there who share our values surrounding sustainability and people, so it was easy to grow our community the way we have. And this is only the beginning.”
Mike Buckley, chief commercial officer
Mike, who joined from Spotify two years ago, has been pivotal in shaping Mobsta’s commercial strategy.
“I’ve had the privilege of working with a great team all united around our purpose to do great business for good, which has been thoroughly refreshing and invigorating,” Mike said. “I am delighted with my appointment to chief commercial officer and am enthused by our plans for the future.”
Matt Longley, chief executive officer
Matt, who was previously Mobsta’s managing director, started his career in the civil service, working in marketing roles at HM Revenue and Customs and the Electoral Commission before transitioning to the private sector. He held senior positions at GroupM’s government media-buying arm, M4C, and then at Carat, and Vizeum, managing major accounts such as Camelot, TSB, and Weetabix.
“These appointments come following a breakthrough year for Mobsta and set us up well for the next stage of our sustainable growth,” said Matt. “Nothing will stop us from making hard decisions in order to make the right choices on how we run our business. By staying true to our vision, we continue to position Mobsta as a leader in our industry, making a positive impact on our customers, while also driving pioneering initiatives that enrich our community and the world around us. Who doesn’t want to be part of that?!”
Departmental changes
Matt also confirms that alongside the creation of the c-suite Mobsta has several new appointments and departmental changes to underpin this next phase of development, innovation and growth:
“As our Growth Team goes from strength to strength, it will now be headed up by Adrian Manian as the new head of growth, with Sean Clift stepping into the head of sales role previously led by Manian. Our International Team headed up by Emma Sullivan had a fantastic year and will be on the lookout for new Mobstars to join the team in 2025. And as our Creative Services Studio expands it comes under the direction of Juliana Proskourina-Barnett who takes on the role of head of communications and creative services. These changes are set to drive our vision and we’re absolutely thrilled to share this news”.
