RedWorks China, Ogilvy & Mather’s design and production unit, today announced the appointment of Michael Tam as the President of RedWorks China. Effective immediately, Tam will assume the responsibility of overseeing the discipline nationwide.
RedWorks China is part of a vast global network that meets the demand of high value digital and design assignments through cost-effective and efficient execution, while remaining on-brand. In addition to offline production, its digital offerings include online advertising, emails, websites and microsites, mobile apps, motion graphics and animation, digital signage and social media. In his new role, Tam will prioritize establishing RedWorks’ national and regional hubs, which will standardize the production quality and execution of complex integrated campaigns. He will also focus on strengthening the discipline in Shanghai and growing its external business in Beijing.
Tam hails from a diverse professional background as a 15-year brand marketer, governmental and non-governmental consultant, and art gallery founder and curator. Known industry-wide as a champion for change, Tam had previously worked at Euro RSCG 4D/Field Force and Saatchi & Saatchi. He has also been a global communications advisor to the Beijing government since 2010.
