Men of Adland Bake Pies for Gender Equality in Sydney

FTC partnered with Paramount, Infinity Bakery, and Bloke Coaching for the event which was hosted by MasterChef champion, mental health advocate, and all-around good bloke Brent Draper, and professional coach Iain Schmidt.

As more than 60 men from the industry baked pies, they were encouraged to cook up real conversations and then celebrate at an after party with pies all around. The after party featured a larger than life Fck The Cupcakes cupcake.

 

FTC founder and Innocean CEO, Jasmin Bedir, said, “The launch event was a humble attempt to pull an ongoing fun and meaningful program off the ground that brings men into the room on the topic of gender equality. The feedback we got was incredible – which confirmed that we are on the right track. We cannot wait for the next Yeah The Pies session, which we are planning for winter.”

 

Bakers included Tony Hale (Advertising Council Australia), whose baking was Bedir’s personal highlight, Peter Horgan (OMD), Chris Freel (Ooh!mediA), Stephen Wright (Trinity P3), Kerry McCabe (founder UnLtd), and Hyundai director of marketing and product, Andrew Tuitahi.
