Ahead of Cannes Lions, London International Awards (LIA) takes us through a snapshot of the company

Q> What is your company name?

LIA> London International Awards (LIA)

Q> What is your company website?

LIA> www.liaawards.com

Q> What is it your company does?

LIA> Global Advertising Awards Festival honouring Design, Technology, PR, Creative Strategy and Production.

Q> Give us your elevator pitch:

LIA>Want global recognition for your creativity?

LIA is one of the top five global creative advertising and design awards shows that has the best award-winning and trend-setting jurors who judge and award the best work. Winning a statue will fast track your career as it gives your work worldwide visibility.

Every piece of work entered will be seen by the respective category jurors; every piece of work will be judged onsite by the same panel of judges. No pre-judging, no block voting.

Judging is absolutely transparent.

Do you want to set the standard for 2024 and win in one of the top creatives shows globally? Here’s your chance!

Q> Who will be on the LBB Beach representing your company?

LIA> Barbara Levy, president & founder

Terry Savage, chairperson

Laurissa Levy, creative LIAisons director

Christina Shaw, VP - awards director

Q> Are you hosting any events on LBB Beach, or elsewhere in Cannes during the week?

LIA> Thursday Lunch on LBB Beach.

Q> What are you most looking forward to about Cannes in 2024?

LIA> Networking, making new connections and renewing old ones.

Q> What do you think will be the hottest topics this year on the Croisette?

LIA> AI and Creativity.

Q> What are your top tips for newbies going to Cannes, the Lions, and the LBB Beach for the first time?

LIA>

  • Go easy on the Rosé
  • Make as many connections as possible
  • Try to visit Marche Forville, open from Tuesday to Sunday, and get fresh fruit (a rarity on the Croisette) and really good tapenades

Q> Do you have any restaurant or bar recommendations in Cannes you’d like to share?

LIA> Go to Le Suquet, located on the slopes overlooking Vieux Port, the charming old part of town. Lots of more laid-back restaurants along rue Saint-Antoine. Or go to Le Marais in rue du Suquet if you want to eat typical French cuisine including escargots.

Getting a table in any restaurant on the Croisette or near the Palais would be quite a feat. Every restaurant near the festival will be crowded.

Q> What is your favourite non-work activity in Cannes?

LIA> Enjoying a gelato or having an iced coffee at the Armani café on Boulevard de la Croisette while people watching.

Q> Lastly, what is your packing essential for the week at Cannes Lions?

LIA> Sun block, business cards and a fully charged phone!
