Lisandro Ramos has been chosen as a juror at Cannes Festival 2024 for his enriching experience, having previously participated at Berlin Commercial, Cíclope, Dubai Lynx and Cíclope Latino.
At Cannes Lions, the world’s premier festival celebrating creative excellence, thousands of entries pour in from countries worldwide. A carefully selected panel of judges review the work and determine which will ultimately take home a coveted Cannes Lion.
Lisandro> Being a juror in any important festival, especially at the Cannes Film Festival is a valuable experience and a great honour. This achievement comes hand in hand with the whole Mama Hungara team, who together have been building our brand with effort and dedication. Personally speaking, I am in the process of taking every opportunity to talk to diverse talented people in the industry from all over the world to expand and learn. This helps to reinforce the progress I am making in my career.
Lisandro> I totally agree with you, Film Craft is also related to our expertise, creative production and execution, and also I get to see the best films in the world. Under the guidance of the president, Prasoon Pandey, the jurors met in person and some online to decide and understand what to look for in a winning piece. We mainly evaluate technical execution, production and above all creativity in an international context. As a jury of this prestigious festival, being clear about the guidelines and expectations that were agreed upon is essential. Though what I look for in a winner is a piece that excites me and pushes me to carry on innovating.
Lisandro> I haven't seen that many pieces executed with AI. At least in the ones I judged. However, there have been projects where this trend has been mentioned and used as a theme for the development of ideas or concepts. What I’d like to highlight is the festival’s openness to new creative trends and the industry's receptiveness to let new things in. Giving space to Creators this year follows on from the Social Influencers Category that was incorporated a couple of years ago.
Lisandro> Argentinian creativity is recognised all over the world for its excellence. This year expectations are high and as such we do not give up working to continue offering the best. Last year, an Argentinian Agency won the most important awards. For that reason we lived, dreamt and got excited about the possibility of being awarded a prize or being close to it at some point. Feeling it possible, generated an enormous hope in me, my team and, I think, in the whole industry.

Together with our directors and talents, we are focused on participating in projects that generate significant and positive changes, not only in the commercial sense but also changes that truly add up on a socio-cultural and creative level.
