Major Lazer and Major League DJz Team Up for Some 'Koo Koo Fun' in the Club

New York City-based creative editing and post-production studio Modern Post teams up with creative content studio Shotclock and director John Tashiro to show up and get down for some “Koo Koo Fun” in a new music video for American electronic dance DJ trio Major Lazer & emerging South African superstars Major League DJz, ft. Nigerian singers Tiwa Savage and DJ Maphorisa. The stylised video, cut by Michael Bryson, amps up the energy behind the unique blend of sounds in this first-time collaboration, with Savage bringing vibes to the dance floor in this new hit track.

The track marks Major Lazer’s first new music since last year, with influences pulled from Amapiano, a South African style of house music that emerged in 2012 and descended from the South African house genre Kwaito and Afrobeats. The sound itself is a hybrid of deep house, jazz and lounge music characterized by synths, airy pads and wide percussive basslines.
