Bi-coastal post-production studio Modern Post has promoted Mike DeFilipps to executive producer of VFX and finishing in its New York office, expanding its leadership team alongside East Coast executive producer Christina Mansi and West Coast executive producer Andrew Illson.
Since joining Modern Post as a VFX finishing producer in 2021, Mike has been instrumental in expanding the studio’s VFX department. He has played a key role in handling major campaigns and VFX projects, supporting the growth of both the east and west coast offices, and instilling confidence in each stage of the process. Throughout his tenure, he has worked with leading brands such as Calvin Klein, Tom Ford, Dior, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Old Navy.

With over 14 years of experience, Mike’s career in post-production began at a young age, following in his father’s footsteps. As finishing producer at P.S. 260, he led the motion graphics, VFX, and finishing department across the company’s Boston, NYC, and LA offices, overseeing projects from start to finish and streamlining workflows to ensure high-quality execution. His expertise in finishing and visual effects ultimately led him to Modern Post, where he continues to push the boundaries of VFX and finishing.
