Milwaukee-based Hanson Dodge announced that Maggie Pope has joined the agency in the new role of associate media director. In this role, Ms. Pope will lead a team of media planners and assistant planners and be responsible for day-to-day media activities on national brands such as Creminelli Fine Meats and NOW natural vitamins and supplements, among other responsibilities. She starts this week and will report to Michelle Millar, VP, group director media and activation at Hanson Dodge.
“Since establishing an in-house media capability, our media business has rapidly expanded as we’ve added new clients and increased our service offerings. Quite simply, we needed more help,” said Ms. Millar. “Maggie brings more than a decade’s worth of media experience, from strategic planning to media buying, with a strong background in performance marketing. Combined with her knowledge across categories such as entertainment, tourism, food, finance and more, Maggie is just what we wanted to round out the media activation team.”
Said Stacie Boney, president of Hanson Dodge, “At Hanson Dodge, we want to be a magnet for attracting advertising talent to Milwaukee. Maggie is from Savannah, will be based in Savannah, and will be fully remote. It’s how we roll and one of the reasons why HD has been so successful in attracting talent to the city. Both our heads of Media and Digital Technology are also from outside the region. We have mastered the art of working seamlessly.”
Ms. Pope joins Hanson Dodge from Allied Global Marketing where she was associate director, performance media, overseeing AMC Network’s largest streaming service, AMC+. Prior to that, she was associate director of marketing and senior digital marketing manager at TMX Finance in Savannah, GA. She began her career as a Media Buyer at Joselove Filson Advertising.
