Hanson Dodge, a full-service, independent creative agency based in Milwaukee, has announced that Angie Rothen has joined in the new role of chief technology and security officer and a member of the agency’s Leadership Team. It’s a reunion of sorts, as Angie had previously served as HD’s Head of Technology from 2015-2019. She was most recently SVP, Technology Governance at Allstate Benefits, and Principal, CybrDynamix in Greater Milwaukee.
The news follows the announcement earlier this year that Mike Roe had joined Hanson Dodge as its first-ever chief creative officer.
“As we look to amplify our digital, technical and cybersecurity expertise, I have first-hand experience of the success we achieved at HD under Angie’s prior leadership as Head of Technology,” said Stacie Boney, president, Hanson Dodge. “At HD, Angie led her teams to achieve Kentico and Sitecore gold level status and we won multiple Site of the Year awards across platforms. She’s since progressed and developed expertise in cybersecurity, which goes hand-in-hand with website development, AI, CMS, eCommerce and more.” Boney added, “ Angie’s respected and connected within the industry, and is a consummate team-builder. In short, she’s just perfect for an agency whose mission is to help our clients and people make the next great leap.”
A 20-year industry veteran, Angie boasts expertise leading major technology initiatives including CMS builds, software system assessments, upgrades, technology audits, project management, SaaS integration, governance, risk and compliance, Cloud technology, HelpDesk operations, infrastructure and more. Taken together, this expertise has helped to drive business outcomes. Aside from Hanson Dodge, recent experiences include Laughlin Constable and Allstate Benefits, where she headed IT and oversaw technology portfolios of up to $100 million. She will lead HD’s Technology team, support digital strategy across brands, and ensure HD and their clients remain on top of emerging technologies.
Said Angie, "In recent years, HD has delivered impressive digital campaigns for clients such as its award-winning ‘Visit Utah’ website for the Utah Office of Tourism. I'm thrilled to rejoin the agency at a moment when creativity and technology are more deeply integrated than ever. By leading initiatives at their intersection - where innovation thrives - we deliver even greater impact for our clients."
“Adding Angie to our Executive Team, on the heels of bringing Mike Roe on board as CCO, firmly positions Hanson Dodge for where we need to be, now and in the future,” said Stacie.
Last year, the agency experienced double-digit revenue growth and added multiple new clients and assignments. Among these were LIXIL North America (the biggest account win in agency history), JOJO’s Chocolate, the B2B brands Baxter Planning and Grey/Orange, as well as new assignments from existing clients such as fireside MARKET from Potawatomi Ventures.
Angie assumes her new role this month.
