Lyft and Wieden+Kennedy New York have commissioned illustrators to shine a light on special destinations throughout NYC, encouraging locals to get out of their ‘hood and into a Lyft.
New Yorkers are often reluctant to leave their neighborhoods, yet locals know that when they stay close to home, they’re missing out on all that the city has to offer. So Lyft is promoting fun summer destinations right within the five boroughs of NYC with its new ‘Staycation’ out of home campaign.
Artists Steven Harrington, Mike Perry and Andrew Rae have each created artworks to help illustrate the personality and unique details of six different NYC destinations: The High Line, Museum Mile, Rockaway Beach, Industry City, Fort Tryon, and Brooklyn Bridge Park.
The high impact OOH campaign utilises creative reminiscent of vintage “Greetings From” postcards to show that these seemingly far-off destinations are actually only a Lyft ride away. The majority of outdoor sites are at street level so audiences can take in the detailed artwork and even discover some new attractions at each destination.
