The campaign, which consists of two spots, one featuring Belgian comedian Serine Ayari, the other one consisting of Zwangere Guy, the iconic flemish rapper and Frederik Willem Daems, a Belgian writer.
Both spots consist of dark lighting giving a mysterious tone. It creates an immense intrigue at what they are looking at so carefully, and with such interest. The tension is built by the use of the slow tracking shot that begins with an extreme close up, and is slowly being pulled away, which lets us discover the atypical environment. These dramatic shots are cut with archive footage which breaks the moody atmosphere but gives power to the storyline. It is accompanied by a VO with the talent in question - reminiscing about their past, who they are, and what drives them. Finally we understand that they are watching, and what they have been captivated by, is Canvas.
Canvas used these three characters, as it shows diversity, uniqueness and fearless people, which is representative of the brand.
'Sooner or later, you’ll watch Canvas'
