Post house Coffee&TV has again worked with long time collaborator, Madam director Howard Greenhalgh, to deliver a colourful 60 second commercial for LG Korea, advertising their new Optimus G Pro phone. The idea behind the spot was to show off the phone’s camera quality through bright, vivid imagery. Derek supervised the shoot and shot elements himself using a Canon 5D. The job also required digital matte painting, applying inserts onto the phone screen and animating the user interface in Smoke. Coffee&TV's Derek Moore said, “I enjoyed having lots of creative input in this project and I really got to explore and exploit the new lighting package within Smoke 2013 in order to add realistic performance lighting to the composited images. He added ‘It was great working with LG Korea for the first time, those guys never sleep!’.
