INFINITY is the short animation created by Leo Bill about the scale of possibility our minds hold, and the freedom it can bring within the confines of a lockdown.
“Whilst in isolation, with all this time on our hands, there's a hilarious notion that you might as well make your masterpiece! But concentration is so hard because the times we are in are so huge. I've found there’s a lot of joy in embracing the lo-fi, DIY nature of creating things daily, and it feels like infusing things with positivity is the current way forward." says Leo.
Leo Bill teamed up with his fellow isolators - an illustrator, a musician and a producer - and in the space of an afternoon, with some felt-tip pens, a Samsung phone, Logic Pro X and a bottle of wine, the four of them created this colourful, inspiring work. The illustrations by Cara Theobold have an innocent simplicity and the music, originally composed by Jonathan Kitching, lends it a beautifully uplifting ingredient.
The film is a heartfelt reminder that creativity cannot be confined. Leo Bill is an actor, writer and director who recently moved into film making. He now has a number of projects in development, including a psychedelic black comedy television series, a trippy animation series, a short film that aims to shoot in the autumn, and an ingeniously witty, cinematic promo film due for release in late Spring, produced by Maëva Demurger for Birth and starring Tobias Menzies and Kit Harington.
