Three’s first brand ad tells the true story of the world’s Loneliest Whale. This creature sings at 52 Hertz, a frequency that no other whale can hear. The story of the Loneliest Whale swimming the oceans alone, searching for an answer and never losing hope, says so much about the human need to communicate that is in all of us.
The ad was written by Sam Doyle, art directed by Bairbre McGlade, creative directed by Rory Hamilton, client serviced by Pat Stephenson and Kieran O’Donovan and Produced by Derek Doyle and Sarah Chadwick.
The film was shot on location in Norway, with director Tom Tagholm. The production company was Park Pictures with post-production by MPC and Piranha Bar. The track was composed specifically for the ad by Denis Kilty.
