'Teddy' film is a moving reminder of the great lengths we go to for the people we love

Laughlin Constable (LC), the independent, full-service creative agency, today released its 2022 holiday greeting that will make its way to clients, vendors and partners later this week. In partnership with the agency’s in-house production studio HIVE, LC shot and produced the two-minute film that takes some unexpected twists before hitting the viewer in the heart.

Titled 'Teddy,' the story follows a mom desperate to deliver the perfect holiday gift despite things going a little sideways.

“We want to celebrate the depths and great lengths people will go to for the ones they love, especially during the holidays. We feel there is no better time than now, considering the stress we’ve all been through compounded by the holiday rush, to tell a story that’s fun and a bit off-kilter,” said Pat Laughlin, co-chief creative officer at Laughlin Constable. “And while our stuffed bear had a rough day, rest assured, no real bears were harmed in the production.”

The agency creative and HIVE production teams utilised four teddy bears throughout the one-day shoot at different locations in and around the Midwest and completed the film from concept to completion in a week.

“With our in-house resources, we are able to do quick turn, efficient productions like ‘Teddy,’” said Jon Laughlin, co-chief creative officer at Laughlin Constable. “It’s a perfect representation of how we make our work personal and human-centric, as well as how we approach our family-owned business. We go to similar lengths for our people and clients who are like family to us.”

The holiday greeting is available for viewing here. In keeping with Laughlin Constable’s holiday tradition, the agency also made an end-of-the-year donation on behalf of its clients. Those beneficiaries are The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA)  and Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago and Milwaukee, all of which are agency clients.
