Amsterdam creative agency Kingsday today announces its first office outside of Amsterdam: Paris. The office will be starting out with a team made up of creative, strategy and account, led by new hire Adam McVicar.
Kingsday in Paris will primarily service the Nissan UEFA Champions League business - and as Nissan’s EMEA headquarters are near Paris, the new Kingsday office will be perfectly situated to work closer with Nissan United, which is Nissan’s joint agency team including TBWA\G1 and OMD. France is also an important and growing market for Kingsday’s other clients such as Affligem, Cornetto, Exact and the Flower Council of Holland.
Kingsday has also hired Adam McVicar as International Business Director. Adam will lead the business in Paris and report to Sander Volten, founding partner and MD.
Adam McVicar (38) is originally from Auckland, New Zealand but lived in London for a number of years before moving to Paris for the Kingsday role. He brings with him a start-up mentality and over 15 years of experience in digital production, strategy and marketing - across various industries, including banking, software development, advertising, mobile and sports. Before joining Kingsday he was working with AKQA London, as client programme director.
Sander Volten commented: “We have just celebrated Kingsday’s fifth birthday by starting Kingsday in Paris to cater for our growing business. We’ve had strong ties to France for many years, so we’re looking forward to bringing our Dutch entrepreneurial spirit and make-it-happen attitude to Paris. It’s a very exciting move for Kingsday.”
On Adam McVicar, Sander says: “Adam’s deep experience in digital and social, plus his solid background in sport as a licensed football agent, makes him absolutely perfect for his new role leading our business for Nissan’s UEFA Champions League sponsorship. We’re delighted to have him manage our first steps outside of Amsterdam.”
Sander and the other founding partners of Kingsday will remain in Amsterdam, but will be spending significant time in Paris.
