1025 entries from 33 countries will compete for awards at the Kyiv International Advertising Festival 2023

1025 entries were submitted at KIAF 2023, which is 25% more than last year. As last year, the main part of the entries came from Ukraine, but the geography of the participants expanded this year. The number of participating countries is 33 countries. The festival team is pleased with such international support and the involvement of advertisers from such a large number of countries around the world.

The largest number of contest entries from foreign participants came from France, Georgia and Latvia. And together with them, there are agencies from Australia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, UAE, UK, Uzbekistan and Venezuela. 

This year the largest contest this was the PEACE contest created for works and campaigns that against war, aggression, genocide, crimes against humanity, including the current war in Ukraine.

Next positions were taken by contests such as – Local Solutions; Children: Health/Safety/Happiness & Arts and Culture.

Contest entries will be evaluated by five teams of international jury, which included 41 experienced and titled creators from 25 countries.

Jury chairmen became: 

  • Gaetan du Peloux, chief creative officer, Marcel, France
  • Bartek Klimaszewski, executive creative director, MOLECULAR Worldwide, Poland
  • Morten Grubak, executive creative director, Virtue Worldwide, Denmark
  • Edson Athayde, CEO, creative director, FCB Lisbon, Portugal
  • Nari Moon, creative director, INNOCEAN, South Korea

The judging process began on May 3rd. Within the judging, shortlists, winners (gold, silver, bronze), Best of Contest in 13 contests and the Grand Prix of the festival will be determined.

KIAF 2023 is dedicated exclusively to socially significant communications in advertising, that’s why awards will get campaigns that use creative communications to make changes and positively impact the world. The names of the winners will be announced at the end of May.

The team of KIAF and Ukrainian Creative Stories thanks the Ukrainian and international communities for their support and sincerely believes that the winners will inspire society to make the world a better place!
