KETTLE Chips, the UK’s favourite Hand Cooked Crisp Brand*, has announced the launch of its new campaign ‘When it’s special, KETTLE’, heroing the brand’s role as the perfect accompaniment to life’s special get-togethers.
This national heavyweight campaign devised by Joint will be executed through broad OOH and online media, as well as PR support and an innovative use of digital billboards. Running different creatives at the weekends, the billboards will be triggered by weather and calendar events closely tied to crisp eating occasions. The ads, shot by Gus Filgate from Darling Films, show warm social settings and mouth-watering crisps, paired with light-hearted headlines celebrating the long-awaited arrival of the weekend.
With an upweight in media from Thursday to Saturday, lines such as 'Hello Friday, we’ve been waiting for you' and 'Ladies and Gentlemen, start your weekends' tap into the anticipation and joy for the weekend, highlighting the brand’s place as the perfect companion to any special occasion, whether it’s the first drink to mark the weekend or a dinner party with friends.
The campaign will run alongside the brand’s existing all-year-round sponsorship of ITV’s James Martin’s Saturday Morning, which further reinforces the brand’s premium, foodie credentials. Over the course of the year, more than eight in 10 households will see KETTLE Chips advertising an average of 23 times, ensuring that KETTLE remains top of mind all year round when consumers are planning their get-togethers.
Kizzy Beckett, senior brand manager at Kettle said: “There are a lot of things which make our brand special, from our 100% British potatoes, hand-cooked in small batches to ensure the perfect crunch, to our deliciously crafted seasonings created using real food ingredients by our dedicated chef. It is the care we take at every stage which makes our chips so delicious, which means that we top the blind taste tests over and over again. It is also what makes KETTLE the most trusted brand** and the only choice for the moments that matter. So, When it’s special, KETTLE”
