Hanson Dodge announced today that Kate Schroeder will join the agency this month in the new role of Group Media Director. At HD, Kate will report to Jeremy Whitt, Executive Media Director, and assume lead day-to-day responsibilities on the agency’s newest and largest piece of business – LIXIL Americas – including its key brands American Standard and Grohe.
“As our media department has grown so, too, has our need for senior media leaders who can help manage our increased media business. Kate is that perfect addition,” said Jeremy Whitt. “Kate has more than 20 years’ experience working in media and consulting, for agencies big and small, and across products and categories as wide- ranging as agricultural, CPG, higher education and hard goods. She embraces the challenge and balance of branding and performance marketing and will bring a fresh perspective. As LIXIL’s new strategic integrated media agency partner, that’s precisely what we need.”
A seasoned leader, Kate spent several years as a media supervisor at Starcom Worldwide. She also served as VP, Group Media Director at Cramer-Krasselt on accounts like Johnsonville, BRP and USDA’s Paper and Packaging. At Jacobson Rost, a small, independent agency based in Milwaukee (now known as Morning Walk), Kate was Media Director on Kalahari Resorts and Optima Batteries. Beyond this, Kate is familiar with HD having previously worked as a consultant for the agency.
Hanson Dodge’s in-house media service has enjoyed meteoric growth since it first opened its doors immediately prior to COVID. Today, media accounts for 25% of agency revenues and approximately one-third of staff. It has also been a key driver of growth, playing a role in winning new clients and responsibilities over the years such as LIXIL Americas, Ruffwear performance gear for dogs, and NOW Foods.
