The Sweet Shop's Damien Shatford directs cheeky new ad for Special Group

In what is becoming their typical cheeky style, 2degrees has released its latest campaign highlighting the fact that it is New Zealand’s fastest growing fixed broadband provider. It’s a sequel to the ‘Carryover Data’ campaign which came out on top of Colmar Brunton's Ad Impact Award last August.

Damien Shatford, director at The Sweet Shop says, “We’ve made a sequel for 2degrees that I think really turns things up. The tone and feel are similar to ‘Carryover Data’ but this script allowed me to create more of a contrast between the real world and imagined world. Bigger, more cinematic and more immersive.”

Special Group’s ECD/Creative Partner Tony Bradbourne says, “2degrees has such a unique and strong tone of voice that really stands out in the telco category. It’s great to be able to continue such an effective campaign and expand this world to include more and more characters, and to see where their imaginations take us.”

Roy Ong, Chief Marketing Officer, 2degrees says, “Broadband is a big growth area for 2degrees, the intent of this new campaign is to show Kiwi’s we’ve got more than mobile to offer – with a bit of 2degrees cheek thrown in for good measure!”
